Synth Engine
Up to 256 individual synth voices each with a unique Dual Morphing Oscillator, Dual State Variable Filters, 3 Envelopes, a Mixer and a routing matrix for modulators with cycle times ranging from audio frequency to 100s of seconds. Perfected for long evolving textural sound design.
Layered
Instruments
The base components in LayR are called Instruments. These are built by combining up to 128 layers per Instrument with each layer being a seperate synth. Instruments are stored in banks of Instrument presets which can be recalled manually or via MIDI.

Performance Presets
Any number of Instruments can be grouped into Performance Presets with each instrument in the Performance playing on any MIDI channel and routed to any one of 8 audio outputs. Performances are stored in banks and can be recalled manually or via MIDI. Performance presets also include a rich reverb and stereo echo/delay.

Arpeggiator-Sequencer
With 8 seperate lanes of events each playing with their own speed, direction and MIDI channel, LayR's famous arpeggio sequencer has an incredible variety of musical possibilities ranging from simple arpeggios to long evolving procedural performances.
Unparalled
MIDI Control
Every parameter in every layer in the performance can assigned to any MIDI controller with range, direction and grouping across layers for adjusting many parameters in parallel. LayR also sports a MIDI Controller Mixer providing on-screen control over every MIDI controller assigned to the Performance. Along with 12 Macro controls used to simply morph the entire Performance.
Hundreds
of Presets
An extensive selection of presets provided by some of the best sound designers on iOS. Instrument and Performance presets are stored in banks which can be recalled manually or using MIDI Bank Select and Program messages. Presets can be imported, exported and shared.
